Google and SAB lead pack as most attractive employers to work for

Google was ranked first as the best in its category in the Universum most attractive employers awards in South Africa for 2016.The employer rankings‚ released by global research and advisory firm Universum‚ reveal which employers are most attractive to talent.The rankings are regarded as one of the critical scores in determining a business ability to attract top talent. Each year‚ 3‚000 companies are nominated in over 57 countries as preferred employers by students and professionals.Google placed first in the category of business and commerce that professional prefer. It was followed by South African Breweries and Investec. Others which make up the top 10 are Transnet‚ Coca-Cola South Africa‚ Unilever‚ the South African Reserve Bank‚ Deloitte‚ South African Revenue Service and KPMG.In the category of who the professionals want to work for in the humanities‚ liberal arts and education category in South Africa‚ the Department of Higher Education placed first‚ followed by Google and the Department of International Relations and Cooperation. There were 21‚961 professionals who participated in the survey.In the category of law‚ professionals ranked the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development first‚ followed by the National Prosecuting Authority and Legal Aid SA. The South African Revenue Service placed fourth while law firm Webber Wentzel placed fifth.The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) said it was proud of this award. “The research survey indicated that DIRCO is perceived by other professionals as a desired place to work due to aspects like international exposure‚ training opportunities and travelling‚” its spokesman Clayson Monyela said...
