MV will remain just a dream for some
After a lengthy conversation with an aspiring rider about the motorcycles he would consider if his wife ever granted him his wish to buy a bike, the one that topped his list was the MV Agusta F3 675.
He even has it as a screensaver on his phone, but I personally think that's the closest he will get to that motorcycle.
He expressed such love for the Italian bike, that I couldn't help but enlighten him on this revolutionary motorcycle.
What is considered by many as the most beautiful motorcycle in the world was born out of Claudio Castiglioni's boundless passion for sports bikes. He produced the first MV Agusta F4 in 1997, after reviving the legendary racing brand.
This bike had a 750cc in-line four-cylinder engine with classic Italian school design.
Castiglioni was the driving force behind the new MV Agusta F3 675 but, sadly, died of cancer before the bike reached production.
The style of the MV Agusta F3 675 was based on the core philosophy that has characterised all previous MVs - the perfect balance between form and function to create an object that is unique, not only for its beauty, but also for its effectiveness.
According to MV, the 2012 F3 675 is a revolutionary motorcycle and is now ready to become the new reference point both on the street and on the track.
It is the first middleweight motorcycle with full ride-by-wire engine controls including four pre-set maps and one personally tunable map which includes traction control that can be selected between eight different levels.
With its compact and lightweight layout, it is the most advanced and powerful supersport engine ever produced.
The three-cylinder engine operates a counter-rotating crankshaft which has previously only been seen on MotoGP motorcycles.
The bike features the new MVICS (motor & vehicle integrated control system), putting it on a par with the most advanced superbikes.
MV says the chassis is very advanced, offering an unparalleled level of feel in all riding conditions, compared to rivals such as the Triumph Daytona 675.
