Sanef, Eastern Cape ANC to meet

The ANC in the Eastern Cape and the SA National Editors Forum are expected to meet on Tuesday "to improve relations", says an official.

"The main point for the summit is for both the ANC and the media to improve their relations in a manner that avoids the hostilities experienced before and during the election period," said ANC provincial spokesman Mlibo Qoboshiyana in a statement.

He said the one-day media summit would allowed SA National Editors Forum (Sanef) a platform to present their concerns about their relationship with the ANC and its provincial and local government.

"At issue for the ANC in the province is to see the media working better to inform the society while they report fairly on the ANC," he said.
