The Freedom Front Plus unanimously re-elected Pieter Mulder as its leader, the party said on Sunday.

Mulder's election took place at the party's bi-annual reorganisation meeting, its highest decision-making body, on Saturday, spokesman Wouter Wessels said in a statement.

Delegates from all nine provinces as well as the party's elected representatives attended the meeting.

Pieter Groenewald was re-elected as chairman.

Anton Alberts, Andre Fourie, Corne Mulder, Abrie Oosthuizen and Jaco Mulder are also part of the FF Plus executive management.

Wessels has been elected as the party's new youth leader after Jan van Niekerk resigned.
