Two police constables will appear in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court for alleged illegal platinum dealing, Limpopo police said on Sunday.
Tebogo Motau, 28, and Rudzani Nefuri, 27, appeared in court on Friday, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said in a statement. The matter was postponed until Wednesday.
Motau is attached to the visible policing unit. Nefuri is a member of the police's tactical response team.
They were arrested Thursday after a tip-off that they were allegedly looking for buyers for platinum valued at R1.2 million.
Mulaudzi said the origin of the platinum also formed part of the investigation.
