Angela Brooks, who was involved in the project, says: "We drove the entire Argus Route and then edited the clip and sped the footage up 15 times."
The clip was made using a GoPro HD camera attached to a car in order "to give a riders point of view of the historic race."
Now in its 35th year, the race (which is on March 11) will start at Hertzog Boulevard and end at Western Boulevard in Green Point, and will see 35 000 riders take part.
The video does not start on Hertzog Boulevard because there were road works on the day of filming.
