Man arrested with 282kg of dagga

A man was arrested when 282kg of dagga were found in his car in Welkom, Free State police said on Thursday.

Police searched the 37-year-old man's vehicle around 7am on Tuesday, Captain Stephen Thakeng said.

"Police found 282kg dagga with a street value of R375 000 in the boot of the vehicle."

The man was expected to appear in the Senekal Magistrate's Court soon.
