A 14-year-old Limpopo girl accused of killing her 17-year-old boyfriend appeared in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court, in Limpopo, on Thursday, said police.
Constable Moses Molepo said she would be back in court on July 20 for a bail application. She would remain in police custody until then.
"Given the seriousness of allegations levelled against her, she won't be released under her parents' custody even if she is a minor."
The girl allegedly stabbed Andries Kubayi, a Grade 10 pupil at a local school, in the chest with a knife during a quarrel on Tuesday in Makanye Section, Ga-Mothapo.
She fled, but police found her hiding in a local church on Wednesday.
