The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday declared its support for President Jacob Zuma's second term leading the party.

Addressing the delegates at the nomination conference in Durban, provincial chairman Zweli Mkhize said the issue of who leads the African National Congress was settled.

"For the media it may be summarised in this way, 'uZuma uyabuya, kuphela' [Zuma is coming back]," he said.

Mkhize said the issues which needed to dominate the conference were unity in the party and building capacity in the branches.

He urged the delegates who would represent the province in Mangaung to be disciplined as the biggest province at the conference.

The province, which was Zuma's home province and stronghold, would take 947 delegates to the conference next month.
