US man stabbed to death in Illovo, woman to appear in court

A 29-year-old woman would appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court, for murdering an American citizen on Tuesday, Gauteng police said on Monday.
The 41-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death on Sunday morning. He arrived with the woman at a flat in Illovo at 3am, said Lt-Col Lungelo Dlamini.
The guard heard a woman screaming and when he went to check he allegedly saw the woman with a knife in her hand. The man had been stabbed, said Dlamini.
The man died on the scene. Police arrested the woman and seized a knife.
He said the motive for the murder was being investigated.
The police at the weekend said the woman would appear in court on Monday, but she would now only appear on Tuesday, said Dlamini.
