A newspaper reported on Friday that Paralympic and Olympic track star Oscar Pistorius shot his girlfriend, model Reeva Steenkamp four times through a bathroom door at his Pretoria home.
Beeld's front page story, headlined "Dood agter deur [Dead behind door]", said it understood Steenkamp was shot four times through a bathroom door.
According to the paper, the police and security guards were called to his house two hours before the shooting, after neighbours heard the runner and Steenkamp arguing.
The police were called out a second time around 3am after neighbours heard gunshots, the paper said, quoting an unnamed Silver Woods estate resident.
Pistorius is due to appear in court on a murder charge.
Police have given few details of the shooting, other than to say Steenkamp died of gunshot wounds.
