Reeva Steenkamp's memorial to be held Tuesday

A memorial service for Reeva Steenkamp will be held in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday.

It would be held on the same day paralympian Oscar Pistorius is expected to appear in court on charges of murder, the SABC reported on Friday.

A family member, Michael Steenkamp, said Steenkamp’s body would be flown back that day and she would be cremated in a private service.

Pistorius was arrested on Thursday after Steenkamp, a model, law graduate, and participant in the Tropika Island of Treasure television show, was shot dead in his home.

He spent Thursday night in jail and will be held at Brooklyn police station in Pretoria until his next court appearance.
