A woman attorney asked to address the court at the start of paralympian Oscar Pistorius' bail hearing in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court.

She said she wanted to address Magistrate Desmond Nair on the athlete's mental condition.

Her name was not immediately available, but she said it was a constitutional matter.

Pistorius is charged with murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, which he has denied in an affidavit.
