MARCH 10, 2014 Paseka Makofane 17 of Kyasands saw the need to cross from one section of the informal settlement to another and the danger posed by heavy rains as people go about their daily business. He built a make shift bridge and charged people R2 to cross and school children cross for free. The young business minded Makofane says he made R700 in one day.

Paseka Makofane (17) of Kya Sands, has made R700 in one day charging people to cross a bridge he built.

He saw the need to cross from one section of the informal settlement to another and the danger posed by heavy rains as people go about their daily business.

He built a make shift bridge and charged people R2 to cross, while school children cross for free.
