Four people, including three children, were injured when the minibus they were travelling in crashed into a brick wall in Vosloorus on Tuesday morning, Ekurhuleni police said.

"A white minibus transporting nine schoolchildren from Vosloorus to Reiger Park, Comet, and Graceland lost control and crashed into a brick wall where four people sustained injuries," Inspector Kobeli Mokheseng said.

The 27-year-old driver and three children, aged between seven and 12, were injured and transported to the Natalspruit Hospital for medical treatment.

The other children in the minibus were not harmed in the accident but were also taken to hospital for observation.

"It is not clear at this stage what actually caused the accident, but preliminary investigation reveals that somehow fatigue played a role because there were no visible brake skid marks on the road surface before the minibus drove straight into the wall fencing a house," Mokheseng said.
