Hijackers try to take Porsche at Crawford school

A group of armed men in a white Subaru attempted to commit a hijacking at Crawford Preparatory School Lonehill in Fourways.

“#ATT 4 armed African males in white Subaru CY43YZGP involved in attempted hijacking at Crawford prep school Lonehill. Fled towards Midrand,” Pigspotter tweeted.

Local newspaper Fourways Review says on their website that there is some confusion as to whether there were three or four suspects.

According to the report warrant Officer Balan Muthan, head of communications for the Douglasdale police, told the newspaper that the male suspects tried to hijack a woman and steal her Porsche outside the school but failed.

Witnesses report that the men held up the school's guards with a rifle and a pistol.
