Jozi FM DJ Donald Sebolai, who is accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death, has been granted R10,000 bail, according to a media report.

His trial will begin on February 9 in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court, The New Age newspaper reported.

Sebolai is accused of stabbing his girlfriend Rachel Dolly Tshabalala to death in his flat in Jabulani, Soweto, on June 29 last year. He was arrested on July 8.

The State had opposed bail, arguing that he was a flight risk.

The court heard that DNA samples of both the accused and the victim were found on her clothing.

A towel and her pyjamas were found dumped in her car which was found in an open veld in Soweto.
