Thirteen people injured in KZN crash

Thirteen people were injured when a minibus taxi drove into a truck on the N2 near Port Shepstone, paramedics said on Sunday.

"Thirteen taxi commuters were injured after a taxi rear-ended a truck on the N2 North between Port Shepstone and Hibberdene this afternoon," said Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha in a statement.

Five people sustained serious injuries and eight minor injuries.

They were treated on the scene before being transported to a hospital in Port Shepstone.

The cause of the accident was being investigated.
