FlySafair apologises to passengers

FlySafair apologised to all passengers and crew members affected by a flight from Cape town which had to turn around on route to Port Elizabeth this morning.

At approximately 6:30am‚ whilst overhead Mossel Bay‚ flight FA1300 experienced a sudden drop in cabin pressure. This resulted in oxygen masks deploying from overhead panels and the plane turning back to Cape Town According to FlySafair the pilot and cabin crew immediately followed all safety procedures and made the decision to turn back.

The flight landed safely at 7am. “Medical assistance was on standby‚ and we’re glad to report that there were no serious injuries‚" explains Kirby Gordon‚ VP of Marketing for FlySafair. According to Gordon the incident was due to an unpredictable technical issue.

"We are‚ of course‚ taking this matter extremely seriously and will be conducting a thorough audit as to what caused the technicality as well our processes in dealing with the turn-around to ensure that we continually improve our service‚” continues Gordon. Gordon sincerely apologised to passengers and crew who were affected and also thank them for displaying a great deal of patience in the face of this incident.
