Fire razes 11 coaches at Durban train station

Durban firefighters were on Wednesday battling a blaze that had spread to 11 coaches at the Reunion train station‚ south of Durban.

The cause of the fire had not yet been established‚ and authorities reported that there were no injuries reported.

KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Service spokesman Robert Mckenzie said reports from the scene indicated that the fire was "extensive".

"Our paramedics and fire department members are at the scene. There are no injuries as yet‚" he said.

The cause of the blaze was still unknown.
