Woman tourist mauled to death at Lion Park

A woman tourist died after being attacked by a lion at the Lion Park outside Johannesburg today. The lion is believed to have reached inside the vehicle she was sitting in‚ through an open window‚ according to a park staff member.According to Eyewitness News, the woman was an American tourist. Another passenger travelling with her was also attacked and is in a serious condition. The park’s Scott Simpson told the website: “We don’t know exactly what happened, we do know that there was a car driving to the lion camp and the lion did come through the window and it did bite the lady. Unfortunately the ambulance arrived quite soon but the lady has passed away.”..
