One horse dead, another being treated after N1 accident

One horse has died and another is being treated after two cars collided, one of which was carrying the two horses on a trailer.

The accident, according to EWN, happened on the N1 south near Lynwood road in Pretoria.

Netcare 911’s Santi Steinmann said, “The other horse is fine and did not sustain injuries. A driver from one of the utility vehicles sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital by a private ambulance service.”

Three lanes have been closed on the highway and traffic is severely backed up.
