Police are investigating after two siblings were kidnapped in Mpumalanga and trafficked to Malawi.

“Two girls were kidnaped and taken to Malawi. We’ve received information from Interpol that the children have been found and are safe and we’re sending officials to go and get them tomorrow,” Solomon Makgale of the SAPS told EWN.

The teenaged girls were taken by a woman claiming to be a retired teacher - who told their grandmother she would help them find jobs in the UK.

While its unclear how long the girls had been held, they had allegedly been abused.
