Toy gun wielding Pinetown petrol station bandits nabbed

Two men who allegedly held up a Pinetown petrol station with a toy gun have been arrested. KwaZulu-Natal police said the men‚ aged 28 and 30‚ were arrested on Tuesday morning shortly after they allegedly robbed the station along Alexander Road in Pinetown."It is alleged that at about 3.40 the suspects entered a filling station along Alexander Road and posed as customers. One of them bought cigarettes and other one pulled out a firearm and demanded cash from the cashier. Suspects fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash‚" said Major Thulani Zwane.Two petrol attendants flagged down police who were patrolling in the Westmead area."The petrol attendants pointed at two suspects who were running towards nearby bushes. Police gave chase and two suspects were arrested and one of them was found in possession of a toy gun‚" Zwane said.The two men were taken to the Pinetown police station where they will be charged."They are expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court soon‚" Zwane said. – RDM News Wire, The Times..
