Jozi FM DJ Donald “DJ Donald Duck” Sebolai allegedly argued with his girlfriend and dumped milk on her on her mother's doorstep not long before she died. The Johannesburg High Court‚ sitting at the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court southeast of Johannesburg‚ heard this on Monday as Sebolai's trial for the murder of his girlfriend began.Sebolai‚ 38‚ is accused of stabbing Flavia Rachel “Dolly” Tshabalala‚ 32‚ to death after the couple had a fight at his Soweto flat in June last year.The DJ also faces charges of theft and defeating the ends of justice for allegedly stealing Tshabalala's car and disposing of some of her bloodied clothes.He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.Tshabalala's mother‚ Elizabeth Marawa‚ testified that her only daughter and Sebolai had argued on her doorstep less than a month before Tshabalala was killed.Marawa said she heard a knock on the door‚ but ignored it because it was dark. Shortly after the knock‚ she heard her daughter speaking to someone.She found Tshabalala and Sebolai outside her house and noticed that Sebolai had spilt milk on her daughter‚ she said.She testified that she said to Sebolai: “Did Dolly not tell you she is married? … Not even my son-in-law came to knock on my door at this hour. Donald‚ why are you disrespecting my home?”She left the couple outside‚ she said‚ but heard her daughter say repeatedly: “If you want to kill me‚ you can kill me. I don't care.”After Sebolai left and Tshabalala came inside‚ Marawa said to her: “You call this thing a man? This is not a man‚” she testified.Police forensic photographer Constable Moses Malepe testified earlier on Monday that Tshabalala's body was found half-naked on a blood-stained bed.He said when he removed her grey trousers to photograph her wound he saw that she had been stabbed above her genitals.He said the crime scene appeared to have been cleaned thoroughly.The state alleges that Sebolai phoned his sister Kelebogile Lettie Selekane and acquaintance Nonhlanhla Mkhize and told them that he had killed Tshabalala.Cross-examining Malepe‚ defence advocate Thabang Mathopo asked why certain aspects of the crime scene had not been photographed and measured‚ as these were critical aspects of Sebolai's case.Mathopo said that Sebolai claimed Tshabalala attacked him.The court had heard earlier that Sebolai will lead a defence of self-defence.Sebolai is out on bail of R10,000.The trial continues. - TMG Courts and Law..
