“From angel fish to zebra and everything in between.” That’s how Braai Boy – aka Gareth Daniell - described what he and five mates threw on a fire on Heritage Day in a attempt to better the record for the most species braaied at once. Braai Boy and his team had set out to better the previous mark of 30 species in the one-and-a-half-hour time limit afforded them.“The hardest meat to braai was actually a chicken‚” clucked Braai Boy after the cook-up at Sue's Biltong & Braai in Pretoria.“The guys supplying the meat forgot to let it defrost…Solved that easily‚ though‚ by putting it on the side of the braai and letting it braai slowly until it was defrosted and then we put it onto the warmer coals.”The attempt “was officiated and confirmed by SA records”‚ said Braai Boy‚ and the attempt will be submitted to Guinness World Records too.Today's #SupaBraai saw us braai 50 different meats... what you up to?
