According to a statement released by the Darling SAPS several drugs, including magic mushrooms, cocaine, blue gum, ecstasy, MDMA, LSD, and dagga were seized over the weekend.

“A huge arrest was made on the opening day (1 October) at about 14:30 where drugs were seized with the estimated street value of R55 000.

“A 28-year-old female from Muizenberg was found in possession of 95 MDMA tablets, 100 Ecstacy’s, 50 LSD strips, 23.5grams of Rock and 2 sachets containing dagga. Her vehicle, a VW Beetle was searched at a roadblock at the entrance of the farm where the festival was hosted,” the SAPS said in a statement.

Rocking the Daisies, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to drug use at the festival.

On their website they write; “Please stay away from narcotics and other illegal substances! The South African Police Service will be there, along with some (very well-disguised) undercover cops too.”
