Modelling agency boss Dawie de Villiers summoned them to fake photo shoots where he kissed‚ touched or raped them‚ numerous young women have claimed. These accusations are detailed in the prosecution's indictment which levels 38 charges‚ including rape‚ sexual assault‚ sexual grooming and fraud‚ against De Villiers.De Villiers' trial started on Monday in the Johannesburg High Court‚ sitting at the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court southeast of Johannesburg. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.The alleged victims in the crimes of a sexual nature may not be named by order of the court. Many of them were children at the time of the alleged crimes.One complainant claimed that De Villiers‚ 36‚ raped her at his home in 2009 after she had been invited there for a modelling photo shoot.The girl‚ who was 13 years old at the time‚ said she met De Villiers on Facebook and that he had asked her for a photograph of her genitalia.Another complainant said she met De Villiers on Facebook in 2006 or 2007. He allegedly asked the young woman‚ in her twenties‚ to be an agent for his company. She said he kissed her‚ and when she resisted‚ he raped her anally.De Villiers allegedly threatened to kill another model he had worked with in 2009 after sexually abusing her. She was 21 years old at the time.But De Villiers is not only accused of being a sexual predator. The state alleges that he is also a shady businessman‚ accusing him of multiple counts of fraud.Some of the complainants claimed that De Villiers stole money from them under the pretence of giving them modelling lessons and photo shoots.De Villiers allegedly stole R200,000 from Dominique Rensleigh in 2009 under the pretence of entering into a business partnership.He allegedly also stole R48,000 from Rene Viljoen in 2011 when he told her she was buying shares in his company.De Villiers‚ who ran his modelling agency from his home in Kempton Park‚ east of Johannesburg‚ will appear in court again on Wednesday.The case was postponed to allow for an Afrikaans-speaking interpreter to be arranged for the proceedings. - TMG Courts and Law..
