Popcru members are expected to march against police killings on Wednesday morning ahead of their national strike on Friday.
More than 2,000 police officers are expected to take to the streets from Mary Fitzgerald Square at 10:30.
Popcru deputy provincial chair, Naughty Magoai, said all law enforcers including Johannesburg Metro Police Department and correctional services would march to the office of Gauteng Premier David Makhura as well as the Department of Correctional Services to hand over their memorandum of demands.
Magoai said they wanted to address the issue of police killings with management.
“We are saying [that SAPS] management is not coming to the fore. Members are not supported, members are being arrested - unlawfully so - we believe,” he told News24.
Magoai said they would also have a national march on Friday.
