Helen Joseph Hospital closed on Wednesday between 6am to 3pm

Services will be suspended at Helen Joseph Hospital on Wednesday‚ 25 November 2015‚ the Gauteng Department of Health announced on Tuesday. The hospital’s electrical system is undergoing a major overhaul with the installation of a changeover switch. Several units will have no power - including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU); Theatre; Renal Unit; X-Ray; Mortuary and all lifts - between 6am to 3pm.Patients will not be admitted to the hospital; between these hours.Prospective patients have been advised to visit local clinics or the Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital‚ Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital or Leratong Hospital...
