Fallen traffic officers to be remembered

Acting Transport Minister Ngoako Ramatlhodi will on Thursday lead a ceremony in which 18 wreaths – one for each of the traffic officers who died in the line of duty in the past year – will be laid. The observance‚ at the Boekenhoutkloof Traffic Police Training College in Pretoria West‚ will also serve as the launch of the 2015 festive season road safety campaign.“More than 300 officers have been honoured in this manner from the inception of this recognition ceremony in 1993‚” the transport ministry said in a statement...
