Radovan Krejcir has been found guilty of fraud and attempted murder in the Czech Republic, it was reported on Friday.

He has been sentenced to 15 years in jail for the crimes.

The conviction related to defrauding a state-owned oil company and a plot to murder a customs official who turned on him, Eyewitness News reporter Mandy Wiener tweeted.

The World News Report also stated that he had been sentenced for attempting to siphon off assets from the firm, named Cepro.

In August the High Court in Johannesburg found Krejcir guilty of attempted murder, kidnapping and dealing in drugs, related to the kidnapping and torture of Bheki Lukhele, whose brother Doctor had allegedly disappeared with 25kg of tik.
