Popular radio host arrested on charges of drunk driving

Popular Algoa FM presenter Wayne Hart was arrested shortly before midnight on Saturday for alleged drunk driving. Hart‚ who hosts The Drive segment from 3pm to 7pm on weekdays‚ is expected to appear in court next year after the blood tests are completed.Hart is one of the best known DJs in Algoa FM’s lineup‚ and also won the MTN Radio Award for Best Music Show in 2013.Police spokeswoman Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg said Hart was arrested at 11.45pm in Luneville Road‚ Lorraine.“He was arrested on charges of drunk driving. Hart was released on warning to appear in court‚” she said.“The court date has only been scheduled six months from now to allow time to wait for the blood test results.” – TMG Digital/The Herald..
