Heatwave continues in some parts of the country

A sweltering heat wave is expected to continue in some parts of the country, with the South African Weather Service warning that high fire danger is expected in those areas on Tuesday.

Areas affected by the heat include the Northern Cape interior, western parts of the North West and Free State Provinces, the north-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal, the interior of the Eastern Cape as well as the Central and Little Karoo Districts of the Western Cape.

The SA Weather Service said that extremely hot conditions are expected over the Central Karoo District of the Western Cape, north-western parts of the Eastern Cape, northern interior of the Northern Cape and Lowveld of Mpumalanga.

They have also warned that extremely uncomfortable conditions are expected over the eastern interior of the Western Cape, southern parts of the Eastern Cape, eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal as well as the Lowveld and escarpment of the Limpopo and Mpumalanga Provinces.
