KwaZulu-Natal’s Health MEC will be court on Monday “as part of a concerted bid to sway legal opinion against” a suspect getting bail.

A statement from Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo’s office on Sunday said he will “be at Umbumbulu Magistrate’s court to oppose bail for a local man who was arrested after allegedly using a bush knife to cut his own cousin’s hand during an argument”.

“Dr Dhlomo‚ who hails from Umbumbulu‚ believes that the only place for people who terrorise communities is behind bars‚” the statement said.
