Cape Winelands firefighters find cause of bush fire - a burnt body

Police are investigating a case of murder after the burned body of man was found in the Bainskloof Pass near Wellington on early Friday morning. The body was discovered by members of the Cape Winelands fire department‚ who had been called to put out a bush fire near the road‚ according to a statement by the police.A preliminary investigation indicates that the man had been set alight and this was the cause of the bush fire.The body is burnt beyond recognition.Police have asked that anyone who is aware of a missing person‚ or can shed light on the circumstances leading the man’s death‚ to contact their nearest police station‚ Crime Stop 08600 10111 or Detective Constable Elton Samuels at 079 894 1710...
