A 50-year-old woman who was filmed raping a helplessly drunk man at a tavern in Limpopo says she did it because she wanted to be famous.

Despite the cellphone footage making rounds in Makuleke village outside Malamulele where the incident happened, police have not arrested the woman.

When asked why she did that to her drinking buddy, the woman told AENS: "I wanted to be famous. It's been long that I have been lusting after this man. I finally found him and pinned him down."

Both the victim and the perpetrator are married to other people and have children.

The victim's wife forced her husband to open a police case following the incident.

"This is unacceptable. My husband was forcefully raped. I want to see this woman rot in jail and justice taking its course," she said, angrily.
