A man and a three-year-old boy were killed and two other people injured on Saturday night when two vehicles collided head-on on Barry Hertzog Road in Milpark‚ Johannesburg‚ paramedics said.

ER24 paramedics‚ along with provincial services‚ arrived on the scene to find both wrecked vehicles in the middle of the road.

“On inspection‚ paramedics found a man and three-year-old boy were lying trapped inside the first vehicle. Unfortunately both patients succumbed to their injuries prior to the arrival of paramedics‚” ER24 emergency medical service said.

“On inspection of the second vehicle‚ paramedics found the male drive and passenger in the vehicle. The driver lay trapped inside the vehicle in a critical condition.
