Cop in custody after burglary in Wellington

A police constable was among three suspects taken into custody after being caught in the possession of stolen property in Wellington on Tuesday.The 28-year-old officer‚ who is stationed at Cape Town International Airport‚ and two suspects aged 25 and 28‚ were found with “cash‚ wallets and a cellphone that can be positively linked” to a housebreaking and theft in Park Street.“According to information. the complainant noticed that her personal belongings…were stolen from her house whilst she was sleeping‚” a statement said.A “preliminary investigation was conducted and it led the police to a house in Mettler Street‚ Wellington where the suspects were found at the back of the house”.The suspects are due to appear on charges of possession of stolen property and other related charges in the Wellington Magistrates Court on Wednesday...
