Woman mauled to death by own dogs

A 32-year-old woman was mauled to death by her own dogs at home in Pietermaritzburg on Monday. ER24 spokesman‚ Russell Meiring‚ said the woman sustained severe bite wounds to her head‚ chest‚ leg and arms during the attack that occurred at about 11am.“Unfortunately nothing could be done and the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.”He said it was not known what had caused the dogs‚ two Rottweilers and a Boerboel‚ to attack the woman.A neighbour who heard her screams alerted a local security company which arrived at the house.However‚ security personnel could not get the dogs away from the injured woman.Meiring said two of the three dogs were put down by police while the third animal ran away.It was later found and also put down...
