Gauteng to have a chilled weekend as cold spell hits

Gauteng residents should expect lower temperatures this weekend as a cold front passes through the province.SA Weather Service forecaster Dipuo Tawana said maximum temperatures would drop to the early 20s on Saturday.Winter weather sets in with heavy rains‚ traffic jams and snow forecast“Our minimum temperature will be reached in the evening. We normally reach our minimum in the morning.”Storm warning for sailors and fishermen in CapeThe National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) has issued a storm warning advising boaters‚ paddlers‚ bathers and anglers to be cautious around the coast and on inland waterways. Cold weather is expected over the eastern parts of Gauteng on Sunday."It will be partly cloudy and cold in the morning‚" Tawana said."It will be slightly warmer in the afternoon‚ with temperatures expected to reach up to 23° C in Pretoria‚ 20° C in Johannesburg and 19°C in Vereeniging.“We are expecting temperatures to be warm on Monday‚” Tawana said...
