Twitter users misread post as news of president’s killing

Do u have evidence?”Controversial Twitter personality Sentletse Diakanyo caused a stir when it appeared many users misread his Friday morning tweet that said: “BREAKING: Jacob Juma has been shot and killed.”BREAKING: Jacob Juma has been shot and killed.— #ConceptSixty5 (@Sentletse) May 6, 2016junkSonto Mass ‏@SontoMass seemed to see what others didn’t‚ and posted: “@Sentletse tweeps don't read properly hey”.GladBaeCantSing ‏@Isaac_Moselane was one of them‚ admitting that he had read “Jacob Zuma instead of “Jacob Juma”. “@sentletse flip my apologies. I guess I am ignorant. thought it was JZ . sorry bra yaka‚” he tweeted.Juma is a controversial Kenya businessman who was shot dead on Thursday night in Nairobi.The Daily Nation reported that “nothing was stolen from the businessman as two mobile phones and cash were found in the vehicle” and noted that “Juma was a contractor who also had interest in mining and never shied away from controversy”.Diakanyo is known on social media platforms for his unapologetic opinion on a wide rage of topics‚ he often takes a strong stance on race relations‚ and advises on his Twitter bio: “Follower discretion is still strongly advised.”Yomelela Hlwatika ‏@YomzaHlwatika appeared not to be a fan of the South African president when he at first tweeted: “@Sentletse best news of the week”‚ which he later retraced after learning that he wasn’t Zuma being referred to: “I take that back. I wish death upon no one.”Lesiba Marokana ‏@Lesiba_M admitted to being almost caught out by the similarity of the names: “Jeez! this at 1st glance will throw you off” as did TJAY° ‏@TJMOHLALA: “I read Jacob Zuma”.It wasn’t clear if LEGEND22!!! ‏@SPHadebe was referring to Juma or Zuma when he tweeted: “I wish this was true”...
