Body found down embankment almost 24 hours after collision

The body of a young man believed to be one of the victims of a road accident was discovered down an embankment almost 24 hours after the collision‚ paramedics said.ER24 paramedics said the body of the man‚ believed to be 24 years old‚ was discovered by a construction worker about 100 metres down an embankment along the N3 in Townhill near Pietermaritzburg in Kwazulu-Natal on Saturday afternoon.The previous evening‚ paramedics from ER24 and other services had responded to a collision near the spot where the body was found. “When paramedics arrived on the scene they found two men‚ believed to be in their thirties‚ that were ejected from the vehicle. One of them sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on the scene. The other was in a critical condition and rushed off by another service to Greys Hospital for further care‚” ER24 said.At about 2pm on Saturday afternoon‚ paramedics arrived at the same site where the construction worker discovered the body down the embankment. “Family and friends on scene indicated that he was also in the vehicle the previous night. It is believed that he was also ejected during the rollover and thrown down the embankment. Unfortunately‚ he showed no signs of life and was declared dead on the scene.“Local police were called to the scene and will conduct an investigation‚” ER24 added...
