Dealer selling drugs to school children in Cape Town is arrested in undercover operation

Western Cape police staged an undercover operation to investigate dealers selling drugs to school children - and arrested a man on their first outing. The operation came as the SAPS followed up on numerous complaints from the Diep River community and neighbourhood watches."It was observed that school children in school uniform were buying drugs close to the petrol station in the Plumstead neighbourhood‚" Captain FC Van Wyk said."An application was made to the prosecuting authority for an undercover trap operation." This was granted and executed at 12 midday on Friday.The operation was successful with the arrest of one foreign national‚ aged 29‚ and the seizure of dagga.The suspect will appear in Wynberg Magistrates Court next week on charges of drug trafficking.The SAPS are not done in the area: Van Wyk said‚ "more investigation concerning children buying drugs is under way"...
