Situation ‘calm’ in Hammanskraal‚ a day after Red Ants killed

Five people were arrested following violent protests in Hammanskraal‚ Pretoria on Monday. Residents took to the streets on Monday‚ torching three busses and stoning cars in protests against informal settlements at Suurman and Kanana settlements.Two people believed to be members of the Red Ant Security Relocation & Eviction Services were killed during the violence.Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Lolo Mangena said: "Five people have been arrested and will appear in court soon. They are charged with public violence."Mangena said the situation was calm in the area on Tuesday morning. –TMG Digital..
