16 pupils hurt as school taxi overturns

Sixteen primary school children were injured when a taxi driver lost control of his vehicle just outside Stellenbosch on Friday morning.Paramedics and fire and rescue teams arrived on scene to find the VW Kombi lying on its side. The children were standing on the side of the road.ER24 said the children‚ understood to be between the ages of seven and 13‚ sustained minor to moderate injuries."They were treated and transported to Stellenbosch Provincial Hospital for further assessment and care‚" said an ER24 spokesman.The cause of the incident is unknown.
