Maserati speedster who clocked 245km/h due in Tembisa court

A 38-year-old man is expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrates Court on Monday after he was caught speeding in a Maserati. The Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) said the man clocked a breakneck speed of 245km/h on Saturday.He was arrested by metro cops who were conducting an operation on the R21 southbound near the R562 bridge.EMPD spokesperson Wilfred Kgosago said the speedster had two passengers in the car with him: a 17-year-old and a four-year-old.The man was detained at the Olifantsfontein Police Station and was charged with reckless and negligent driving.
