Twin born in stranded Malawian bus in Benoni dies

One of the twins who were born in a bus in Benoni this week has died.TMG Digital received confirmation from one of the close family members on Friday morning that the child died at 9pm on Thursday at the Tambo Memorial Hospital.Malawian Mercy Ndlovu‚ 21‚ was assisted by paramedics to give birth to twins on Wednesday.Ndlovu‚ who was seven months pregnant‚ was with her fellow countrymen when a bus they were travelling with experienced mechanical on broke down on the Tom Jones offramp in the Ekurhuleni city.Paramedics were called to the scene and helped deliver the babies‚ whom they nicknamed “Tom and Jones”.Gauteng MEC of Social Development Nandi Mayathula-Khoza has called a media briefing in Benoni to brief journalists on how her department will help the family of the deceased. More details on the story to follow.– TMG Digital..
