Mother of disabled boy tells court about meeting considerate Oscar

He had just won a gold medal. He used the opportunity and took the medal and put it on my son’s neck.“We still have that medal‚” she said.Gudmunsdottir said when she was 20 weeks pregnant‚ doctors told her that her son would be born without legs.She said her family saw an interview of Pistorius by chance. Her mother wrote to the woman who had interviewed Pistorius and told her to thank him for being visible.“My mother was not expecting an answer. He contacted her and thanked her for the letter. He said we should talk with him anytime we needed him.”Gudmunsdottir said Pistorius wrote to them when her son was seven and told them he was going to Iceland.“He asked if we wanted to meet him. We were very happy and said yes. He came to dinner.“That was a lovely night. He met all of us. There were many visits to Iceland and he contacted us.”She said what was nice about Pistorius was that he usually asked about the wellbeing of her daughter‚ who was three years older than her son.This was because parents with a disabled child usually showered the disabled child with attention.“Oscar always asked about her‚ talked to her and made sure she was never left out.” – TMG Digital..
