Paramedics come to the rescue of goat‚ dog and her puppies

A hungry goat‚ dog and her seven puppies – taking shelter at an abandoned house in Johannesburg.

These were the “patients” that greeted paramedics when they were told about the plight of a number of animals at the house in Ruimsig‚ west of the city‚ on Tuesday.

“On arrival‚ paramedics found that a goat‚ dog and seven puppies had taken shelter in garden. It was apparent that the animals had not been fed in some time‚” said emergency medical response service ER24.

“Paramedics were able to contact the property owner with the help of a member of public.

“Gaining access to the property‚ paramedics were able to retrieve all the animals and bring them to the roadside.”

The next hurdle was getting the animals to a vet. A family member of one of the medics volunteered and the creatures were taken away for further treatment.
